Children affected by HIV/AIDS - Health and Happiness for all

chaha_content_imgThe CHAHA project aims at improved care and support services to children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, and enable interventions which keep them with their parents or extended families.NMCT with their core-staff undertake survey at Avinasi,Tiruppur,Sulur and Palladam blocks to identify the infected/affected children.

NMCT extends support to these CAA/CLHA in education, nutrition, household, foster care, income generation, OI treatment and referral to ART.

Since the intervention started in January 2008, so far 629 children have been identified as CAA/CLHA, in FOUR blocks.NMCT with the supported of PWDS works out strategies for making the project sustainable, to address the needs of these vulnerable children.
