Community Based Organizations (CBOs) are non-profit groups that work at a local level to improve the quality of the life of the community. The focus is to build equality across society in all streams – health care, environment, quality of education, access to technology. Sustainability is the ultimate outcome of all the CBOs.
NMCT has formed three Community Based Organizations to sustain the projects pertaining to Health, Livelihood and Tribal Development. Community leaders and direct beneficiaries are the office bearers of the CBOs.

Santhippom Positive Welfare Society (SPWS) is a Community Based Organization promoted by NMCT. SPWS was formed during the implementation of the CaSP (Care and Support Project) with the objective of sustainable support to People Living with HIV/AIDS. Counselling on Career guidance Programs to the Children affected by HIV /AIDS are conducted from time to time by SPWS, besides mobilizing support for education promotion of poor students.

Vimuktha Federation is a Community Based Organization promoted by NMCT. It is an outcome of A Child Labour Eradication Project supported by Karl Kuebel Stiftung,Germany. The Vimuktha Federation mobilized women & girls in rural and urban areas under Self Help groups in educating them to develop their ability , assisting to avail various benefits from Government and other resources, managing their own time income and assets. The Vimuktha Federation conducts social action programs to support the underserved in getting their ration cards, Aadhar cards and other benefits from the Government, also linkages to the banks to inititate MSME.

The ADI Federation Adivasi Development Initiative is a Community Based Organization promoted by NMCT to initiate in development of Primitive Irula Tribes with the various livelihood skill training and linkages with the banks to initiate entrepreneurship programs in the tribal area. ADI Federation also consists of many number of SHGs in the locality and conducts many training programs and awareness programs. ADI Federation also takes part in sustaining the Wadi and Non Wadi activities undertaken by NABARD TDF project of NMCT. It supports the irrigation of Wadis by providing its Tractor for Ploughing and water distribution.
