Divya ( Name Changed ) lost her father due to HIV in 2011, and soon after, her mother was also diagnosed with the disease. Despite these hardships, her mother —supported by the Santhipom SHG and Native Medicare Charitable Trust (NMCT)—ensured Divya’s education never stopped.
A bright student, Divya scored 90% in her 10th standard and went on to complete her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from PPG College of Physiotherapy. With a strong determination to pursue higher studies, she enrolled in the MPT (Master of Physiotherapy) program at Garden City University Bangalore.
Recognising her potential and the financial challenges she faced, NMCT initially provided her a scholarship of Rs.25,000, which enabled her to enroll in the MPT program and continue her education with confidence. Now in her second semester, she continues to work steadily toward her goal. To further support her academic journey, NMCT extended an additional Rs.10,000, bringing the total financial assistance provided to Rs.35,000, helping her stay focused and move closer to her dreams.
